Invest in Chattogram 2025 Kicks Off with a Grand Opening Ceremony

Chattogram, Bangladesh – The grand inauguration of Invest in Chattogram 2025, a flagship initiative under Occean Venture, was successfully held on May 7, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Chattogram Bay View. The event was organized by Startup Chattogram, in collaboration with Skill Station, BSRM, Chattogram City Corporation, and Shajinaz Hospital Ltd.

With the theme “Empowering Startups, Attracting Investment, Building Chattogram’s Future,” the event welcomed over 450 participants, including students, government officials, investors, startup founders, bankers, and ecosystem enablers. It served as a key platform to showcase Chattogram’s rising potential as Bangladesh’s next economic and innovation hub.

Dr. Shahadat Hossain, Honorable Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation, emphasized the city’s commitment to creating a supportive environment for investment and innovation.

Ten high-potential startups showcased their ventures in front of an engaged audience of investors, with many receiving promising leads and partnership interest.
Panel Discussions:
Two expert-led panels addressed strategies for making Chattogram an economic powerhouse and building resilient startup ecosystems in secondary cities.

Occean Venture Launches Startup-Investor Matchmaking Platform

A highlight of the evening was the official launch of Occean Venture’s national startup-investor matchmaking platform: www.occeanventure.com

This platform enables:

Startups to submit their business ideas and raise funding opportunities.
Investors (local and global) to discover, evaluate, and support innovative ventures in Bangladesh.

The platform aims to gradually expand across the country, connecting regional talent to a global network of investors and creating a pipeline of scalable businesses.
