In the early 2010s, the startup ecosystem in Bangladesh started their journey which has gone through an astonishing conversion and is finally coming of age. The ecosystem solidifies around Dhaka and Chittagong on the back of sectors such as IT, e-commerce and digital marketing among others. In this modern world, there is always a space for small scale business initiatives or for startups.
Recent studies show that 90% of startups fail at their very beginning. 2 out of 10 new businesses fall in the first year of operation. A startup is, in essence, a business experiment with potential. It is like testing assumptions and it’s very likely these assumptions are wrong. The more innovative the startup is, the more likely it is to fail.
There are so many reasons because of this failure. In our country, The young generation are very intent in starting their own startup but they don’t have the proper guidelines of facilities to start their project which is why most of them fail. In this regard, Startup Chattogram plays a significant role to give a proper guideline and every other thing and facilities you need to start your own startup.
In these times of dreadful pandemic, we have witnessed the rapid growth of online businesses and newly launched startups. This pandemic also can’t stop people from turning their innovative ideas into reality. And all these new startups need proper guidelines, proper perception and guidelines to choose proper vendors. Keeping all this in mind, Startup Chattogram is going to hold a program “Startup Chattogram Incubation” for aspiring technopreneurs and innovators, supported by ICT division and Startup Bangladesh.
Startup Chattogram Incubator is a one stop platform for all stakeholders in the startup ecosystem to interact with each other, exchange knowledge and form successful partnerships in a highly dynamic environment. Startup Chattogram Incubator is a huge opportunity for newborn and promising Startups. Our motive is to build proper guidelines and give them the opportunities to flourish themselves. It will also be helpful to interact with established corporate, government agencies and many more industry experts.
Startup Chattogram will work with selected 15 Startups for this first batch. We will provide them with a 50-days training session to nurture their venture. Intense workshops will be conducted on: Storytelling & pitch deck, networking, financing, sales, value proposition, ROI, strategic planning, design thinking, technology, HR, Business model etc.
These workshops will be conducted by industry experts, professional and experienced mentors for preparing the Startups to obstacle the challenges. Investors, Venture capitalists will also be an important part of our journey.

- 50 days offline/online session, workshops, assessments as well as 5 days bootcamp.
After successfully participating in all these sessions and events participants will be ready to pitch their ideas to investors anywhere.

The program will cost Tk. 4000 for a Team (2-3 members each team) & Tk. 1500 for individual participants after passing the preliminary assessment for being qualified for the Incubation program.
